Bigger & brighter
Powered by the all-new S9 SiP, the Always‑On Retina display is 3,000 nits at its peak, making it even more readable in harsh sunlight. In low-light situations, it dims right down to 1 nit. Night mode activates automatically in the dark, and the large display gives you room to customise your view to suit almost any activity.

Double Tap
Gestures make Apple Watch even easier to use anytime, especially when your hands are full. Just double tap your index finger and thumb together to answer a call, open a notification, play and pause music, and more. It’s a bit like magic, at your fingertips. Action button
The customisable Action button gives you quick, physical control over a variety of functions. It can do things like start a workout, mark a Compass Waypoint or begin a dive.

Dive deeper
It’s swimproof down to a depth of 100 metres. Apple Watch Ultra 2 features a depth gauge. It also delivers the data and functionality required by scuba and free divers for descents down to 40 metres.

Temperature sensing
It has an innovative sensor that tracks your temperature while you sleep, so you can see changes over time. Cycle Tracking uses this data to provide a retrospective estimate of when you likely ovulated. When combined with your heart rate and logged cycle data, you’ll get a detailed view of your menstrual cycle.

Sleep insights
The Sleep app doesn’t just keep track of your time asleep. It shows you how much time you spent in REM, Core or Deep sleep, as well as when you might have woken up.

Blood oxygen
Apple Watch Ultra 2's blood oxygen sensor incorporates LEDs and photodiodes in the back crystal. You can easily take readings of your blood oxygen, or let the watch capture background readings, day and night, to provide this key indicator of your overall wellness.

Workout
Squat, spin, stride, you name it…Apple Watch has a workout for it in the Workout app. And with Workout Views, you’ll be able to see more advanced metrics at a glance, like Heart Rate Zones and customised intervals to keep you going strong.

Tap and pay
Just hold the Watch to the checkout reader to make payments via your credit or debit card. No matter how you use it, Apple Pay keeps your financial information completely private and secure.

You can still stay in the loop, even when you're away from your iPhone, thanks to your Apple Watch Ultra 2’s cellular feature. With the Apple Watch Ultra, you can make calls or send text directly from your wrist. (Please note: a cellular service is required for this feature to operate.)

Get world-class workouts with Apple Fitness+
Choose from a catalogue of workouts and meditations led by expert trainers and see in-session metrics from your Apple Watch, like heart rate and calories burned onscreen. There are over 30 new workouts and meditations added each week, so if it's HIIT, Pilates, Strength, or Yoga - no matter your focus, there's a programme fit for you (subscription required).

Apple Fitness+ requires an Apple Watch Series 3 or later. Available when paired with iPhone 6s or later with iOS 14.3 or later.

*Emergency SOS requires a cellular connection or Wi-Fi Calling with an internet connection from your Apple Watch or nearby iPhone.

What's the difference between Bluetooth and cellular?

Bluetooth connectivity
Some smart watches with Bluetooth can let you send and receive text messages, answer telephone calls and receive notifications when it's connected to your (compatible) phone via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Bluetooth + cellular
Smart watches with built-in cellular offer the freedom to send and receive text messages, answer phone calls and even receive notifications when you don't have your phone with you.

Cellular carrier support
Connecting your cellular enabled smart watch to a cellular network requires the same carrier as your (compatible) phone.
