Ruark by design
With subtle curves, elegant finish and composite wood hand-crafted grille, the R1S exudes fresh contemporary design. The cabinet and grille blend seamlessly with the brand’s trademark RotoDial controller and full-colour display.
Rich Ruark audio
Powering the R1S is a dynamic linear amplifier which, with adaptive equalisation, provides a highly listenable sound at all volume levels. And an NS+ driver in an optimised enclosure provides a smooth and extended frequency response with bass performance that belies its compact dimensions.
Adaptive full-colour display
Its full colour TFT display clearly shows time, alarm, and programme information, and on Wi-Fi sources, album, and station artwork, too. The light sensor automatically adjusts the screen to suit light levels, making it an ideal bedside companion.
Flexible streaming
Built-in Wi-Fi means you can easily access your favourite music streaming services like Spotify Connect, Amazon Music and Deezer (charges apply for subscription services). Or stream directly from smart devices with a highly robust and superb quality Bluetooth connection.
A world of radio
With connection to Wi-Fi, the world is your oyster for radio; choose from a huge and ever-increasing list of specialist stations from around the globe. DAB provides digital quality radio from local and national stations, while DAB+ makes it future-proof for the next generation of digital radio. FM means you can still pick up any stations yet to go digital.
Versatile connections
Connect your smart device wirelessly with Bluetooth, while its USB port lets you play music back from USB devices, or just use it as a charging port to keep your devices topped up. And you can still connect in traditional fashion to its switchable line input, or listen via wired headphones. And for those wanting portability, R1S is fully compatible with the optional Ruark BackPack 3 battery pack (sold separately).
Easy control
Ruark's trademark RotoDial makes operation simple and intuitive, while a dedicated R1S remote control is available, sold separately. The Oktiv control app is also available, providing control of most R1S functions and is great for quickly browsing stations and podcasts, right from your smart device.
