Paul Klee (1879-1940) was a Swiss-born German artist. Klee taught at the Bauhaus school of art in Germany and his work was influenced by the Expressionism, Cubism and Surrealism movements, although his style was highly individual, revealing a dry sense of humour and often a childlike perspective.
