When we deliver your new home appliance, our delivery Partners can install it too, and remove your existing appliance for recycling, or re-use the item where possible, at the same time.

In order for us to be able to successfully install your new washing machine, we need you to carry out some checks within your home to ensure your new appliance will be compatible.

What to expect from an installation service
We can deliver and install your new freestanding or integrated washing machine, dishwasher or tumble dryer, so you’ll be set up and ready to enjoy it.

It’s vital that you check the four points explained in the video to ensure your new appliance will work in your home.
Below, we explain what you need to check and what to do if your current setup isn’t suitable for the appliance you’d like to buy.
If your appliance will be delivered directly from the supplier and you would like them to complete an installation service please call 0345 604 8835 to book once you have purchased the appliance.
Space
Measurements
Please check the dimensions of your chosen washing machine and that there is enough space between the underside of the worktop and the floor for the appliance to fit comfortably.
If you’ve chosen an integrated appliance, check that the cabinet door is in good condition, and that the existing plinth can be removed easily.

What to do if your setup is unsuitable
We are unable to complete any adjustments to your kitchen worktop or cabinets on the day. A competent person may be required to complete the work before booking an installation.
Unfortunately, we are presently unable to provide an installation service for stackable laundry.
Location
Washing machines must not be used in unheated outbuildings like sheds.
There are rules about bathrooms too, so if you’re planning to install a washing machine in the bathroom the appliance and electrical socket must be at least 3 metres from your bath or shower.
If closer than this, they must be housed in a cupboard that has a full height, hinged door which opens towards the shower or bath and has a catch on it to keep it shut when closed.

If you have any concerns, please speak to a competent person before booking an installation service.
Unfortunately, we are presently unable to provide an installation service for stackable laundry.
Electricity and Water Supply
Water Supply and Waste Outlet
Please check your water supply and waste outlet are already in place, and within one metre of where you want the new washing machine to go. Be ready to identify where your isolation valve is as we will need to turn off the water supply.
Each appliance that needs a waste outlet – including tumble dryers – must be connected to a separate waste pipe, either via a downpipe or a spigot under the sink.
What to do if your setup is unsuitable
If you have any concerns, including the following examples, please speak with a qualified plumber about the work required before booking an installation service: if you have no water supply, or if the supply is over 1 metre away from your desired appliance location or if your valve is seized from limescale.
Please note we can only install if there is adequate water pressure for the appliance.
Electricity Supply
Please check you have an electricity supply already in place, and within one metre of where you want the new appliance to go.
The electricity supply must be a standard socket outlet, and not an extension lead. If you’ve chosen an integrated machine, we can also install it via a hardwired connection.
What to do if your setup is unsuitable
If you have no electricity supply, including if the supply is over 1 metre away from your desired appliance location, speak with a competent person about the work required.

Please note that if your existing home setup doesn’t meet all four of the requirements, we may not be able to install your new washing machine on the day.

Recycling
Per appliance: £25
If you have only booked a recycling service, please disconnect your existing appliance and if you have any concerns please speak to a competent person before booking this recycling service.
