The cosmetics industry produces 120 billion units of packaging every year – little of which can be recycled at home. BeautyCycle helps to eliminate this waste by recycling your beauty empties for you. It’s all part of our Partnership Plan.
We accept clean, empty tubs, tubes, caps and lids, shampoo/conditioner bottles and caps, non-pressurised hairspray bottles, lip products (tubes, lipstick, lip balm), mascara tubes, eyeliner pencils and cases, eyeshadow tubes and palettes, concealer and foundation tubes and sticks – including testers. However, we can’t accept aerosols or glass containers.
Terms & Conditions
1. The BeautyCycle offer entitles My John Lewis members to £5 off their next beauty purchase when they recycle a minimum of five clean, empty beauty products from any brand (the "Used Exchange Products"). Excludes electrical items or home fragrance.
2. My John Lewis members must spend a minimum of £20 (following the application of any applicable discount or offer) on beauty products in-store to qualify for the offer.
3. £5 off must be redeemed at the point of exchange.
4. The offer is redeemable once per visit, per day and only one offer can be used for each transaction of £20 or more at any John Lewis & Partners shop with a Beauty department. This offer is not redeemable over the telephone, online or via our app.

6. Customers must present their My John Lewis card to be scanned in any of the following ways; (i) Presenting their physical My John Lewis card at the till. (ii) Presenting their My John Lewis card in digital wallet at the till; or (iii) Presenting their My John Lewis card in the John Lewis App at the till.
7. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
8. The offer value will be apportioned against applicable items. The value of the offer will be deducted from any refund received.
9. No cash alternatives will be available.
10. We can accept the following items: all beauty jars, tubes and caps (excluding glass), shampoo/conditioner bottles and caps, non-pressurised hairspray bottles, lip beauty products (tubes, lipstick, lip balm), mascara tubes, eye liner pencils and cases, eyeshadow tubes and palettes, concealer and foundation tubes and sticks - including testers. Please note that products purchased outside of John Lewis are still applicable with this offer.
11. The Used Exchange Products must be empty and clean.
12. The following exclusions shall apply and the offer cannot be redeemed on Exclusions include: (i) Any Jo Malone products. (ii) Any items purchased using John Lewis Payment Plans, including Interest Free Credit or Interest Bearing Credit. (iii) We cannot accept aerosol cans, glass containers, perfume bottles, nail polish bottles, hairbrushes, toothbrushes and any electronic items such as blow dryers and straighteners.
13. Any spend threshold will be assessed after any other discount has been applied to the basket. This includes Partner discount applied to your order ifapplicable.
