Inspired by the French actress Brigitte Bardot and international campaigner for animal rights. Born in Paris, she became an international superstar during the 1960s. Famous for portraying sexually emancipated women, she became a cultural icon of sexual freedom and liberation.

Her passion for the welfare of animals has won our hearts. In 1962 she campaigned globally for the humane slaughter of animals for meat and to outlaw the baby seal fur trade. Both campaigns resulted in regulations being passed which helped end barbaric mistreatment of animals and lead to a greater awareness of animal welfare globally.

In 1986 she formed the Brigitte Bardot Foundation to help educate the public about the need for the protection of many endangered species including Seals, Rhinos, polar bears, and whales. “I am a woman who defends animals, right” was her motto.
