Some reviews say this item isn't compatible with an iPhone 5, it is. Use your mains charger, remove the 3pin section and the USB will go into the juice box. I used the provided adapters to charge the box with our iMac

I was really excited about purchasing this as it was just what I needed when on the go, unfortunately I am disappointed there is no cable for the iPhone 5. I should have checked but assumed there would be. I am hoping to get a refund.

Hello, it's Tom from John Lewis. Thank you for your review, your feedback is really important to us. I'm sorry to hear of your experience you've had with your Juice Cube Emergency Charger. The info does state compatibility with Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and I have checked with the brand and they have confirmed it is. Unfortunately this seems to be an anomaly which I apologise for as it is compatible with all Samsung mobiles. Please feel free to take your product to any of our John Lewis branches and our partners will be happy to refund or exchange the product for you or get in touch with our Customer Service team on 08456 049 049. Bought this for my daughter's I phone. She has now upgraded her I phone to the 5s and there is no adapter for that phone. Really disappointing. Will take it back and try and get a refund

I was struggling to find something for my son's 30th birthday. He has a busy life and a job that invovles shifts with are often extended so it is not easy to keep his monile phone charged. this is perfect it can re-charge his phone up to 3 times before it needs charging again so easily support him through a block of shifts. The bright colours available mean it is easy to see in the bottom of a bag or the back of a locker and the size makes it easy to carry round. Perfect gift for any one who uses ther phone a lot and is moblie to unable to charge from a socket.

Very impressed with this charger. I'm often on the long train journeys and this will come in very handy.
Only slight downside is that no iphone5 attachment is included.

You can just use your stock cable that came with the iphone. Plug that into the battery.
As for ipad charging, its not recommended. The power demands of an ipad are to high for this battery, you would barely get 20% out of it Id approximate.

Ideal to keep in a bag - I use my phone a lot and this means I can always charge it. Small & neat with lots of adaptors so can be used with different gadgets. I like the lights which tell me how much charge is left.
