Doesn't really help my baby sleep

While Ewan is cute and I find the sounds very relaxing - it really has no impact on my baby, we have used it since he was very little and although it makes me sleepy it does not really help my son sleep!

Magical Sheep!

Well, what can I say, I bought this as I had heard good things about it from other mums. I played the harp tune to my tummy from about 7 months pregnant, in the hope that baby would recognise it when he got to the outside world. As I played it to my tummy, I instantly felt my bump wiggle, then a few minutes later, settle down, it was quite surreal.
When my son Leo was born, I had taken Ewan to hospital with me, and Leo certainly recognised it, even at that early stage, turning towards the tune.
The harp tune even now (2 months on) still stimulates him rather than settles him for sleep, but the white noise is magical. I can put him down awake but dozy, and he stares at the pink light, and gradually falls asleep. I only wish it went longer than 20 minutes sometimes, but its usually plenty of time.
Ewan himself is lovely quality, soft, and with a useful velcro tail, so he doesn't move in the cot or buggy. Buy decent batteries, as the cheap ones we bought only lasted about a week.
There are two volume settings, and also an option to turn the pink light off, although I think that helps Leo drift off. All in all, I HIGHLY reccomend, and use from birth if not before!

At 6 weeks old our baby boy would not settle in his basket (only when cuddled by us) and we were despairing of how to make him sleep alone. After reading the reviews here we decided to try Ewan, and it has been a fantastic investment. Although he still stirs, the sea shore setting comforts baby and sends him right back to sleep - it has made such a difference to our lives and I would heartily recommend.

I was given Euan as a present, and he is designed to part replicate the sound of the womb. He has four settings that can be activated by a button in his legs and each one is slightly different i.e. heartbeat with white noise, heartbeat with piano music etc...
Euans chest also lights up red to provide a nice homely glow and he is attachable by his tail so you can hand him easily on the moses basket handles or on your bed head. Misic automatically switches itself off after 30mins and he is very cuddly too. Great buy!

I bought this sheep for my baby when she was 2 weeks old after reading all the rave reviews on here. As a first time parent, I didn't realise she was far too young to fall asleep with the sheep as the only aid. It made no difference whatsoever to how long it took for me to put her to bed and so the sheep ended up at the bottom of her toy pile.
I decided to give it another try when she was 4 months and the difference was remarkable. I had problems putting her to sleep without me being next to her but somehow putting this sheep near her helped her to nod off to sleep on her own with no rocking or patting. She even looks at me when I walk away and not make a fuss. Amazing!

It wasn't until recently that we started to use Ewan, as for the first two months our baby showed little interest in the poor fella. It became a different story as soon as we decided our son was old enough to have a bed time routine (12 weeks). We use Ewan every night to help bubba drift off to sleep and then during the night to keep him calm for his nappy change. Ewan just straps onto the side of the cot with his velcro tail. Unlike other similar toys Ewan's music is of a really high quality none of that tinny, artificial, grates after one minute sort). Our baby loves the Harp setting. I think the red glow calms him down. Sometimes i wake up in the morning and it would appear he's talking to Ewan. Of all the gifts i was bought, this has definitely been the most help.

Absolute cutie. Now renamed 'Llewellyn' and a huge hit with parents and baby. So cuddly and soothing and little one can switch on herself by grabbing his legs and she spends ages 'chatting' to him before falling asleep. Definitely recommend!

Product information
A peaceful night's sleep is not only important for the whole family, but also for baby's development. Help your baby settle down to a peaceful sleep with Ewan the sheep. Ewan replicates the soothing sounds of a pregnant mum's womb and heartbeat. The sounds have been combined with household, musical and natural sounds at low bass frequencies of 125hz to produce ‘pink noise.’ This is the type of noise that babies predominantly hear when in the womb, which is why it is so effective.
Ewan also emits a soothing pink glow - research has shown that babies are comforted by certain aspects of the womb, so a pink ambient glow is the natural choice for the dream sheep’s tummy.
